Week 3 Second Post : 5 Businesses similar to Crafts of a Hand

1) Beautiful Chaos & Co.

They don't have a website URL

Instagram 2/7

This company doesn't post on Facebook too much. The most they posted was 4 posts in May of last year. They have not been active on there since 5 and a half months ago. On Instagram, they have a beautiful feed. They have great aesthetics and use the same filter for all of their images. They made three posts in January, and before those posts, they hadn't uploaded anything since August. Their fans don't post comments many comments. The few that did post didn't receive a response from them.

They are very active on Instagram and post an average of two posts a day and at least once a day.

They repost the same posts from Instagram to Facebook and Pinterest. Overall, I think they are doing an excellent job of staying relevant to social media. They interact with some of their followers by replying to a couple of those who comment on their pictures. I think they should come up with different content for Facebook and Pinterest though. It is important to stay consistent, and I understand that it takes a lot of time to create and edit content when you are a small business. However, customers want different content! They don't want to find the same post from one of your social media platforms and the others. They want fresh content. Or else they won't visit all of your social media because they can just look at one to know what is going on. They should sprinkle an Instagram post every now and then only in case some users don't have an Instagram account.

3) Rombo Artesanias

Rombo Artesnias has 4 products listed on their Etsy shop, and they have reasonable prices.

They post once a week on Instagram and don't write any captions other than hashtags. There's no descriptions or anything on the images. They share the same posts from Instagram to Facebook but not on the same day. They share them on different days and not in the same order. They barely have any comments on their images on Instagram. There are two excellent reviews on their Facebook, and they didn't respond to them.

4) Isaura Noguel

Etsy reports the sales a store has made, and this one doesn't have any sales yet. It has been open for a year. She has difficult names and unbranded pages, and none of the pages seem to be related to each other, and this can confuse consumers. She has beautiful images where she poses with the products she makes. She posts twice a week and doesn't seem to have a presence in other social media platforms. Isaura replies to each and every one of the comments that are left on her feed on Instagram.

5) Guatemala Bags

Guatemala bags do not have a logo, they don't have a unique name. It's a good name for SEO. For example, if someone types in Guatemala bags on Google they will find these social media platforms. That's kind of smart. I like that they don't post the same things on their social media platforms. They sporadically share an Instagram post on Facebook every now and then, but for the most part, their Facebook has unique content not found on their Instagram. They also present the same product in different forms and settings. They have an average of 1 comment on their pictures, and they don't respond to it on Instagram. On their Facebook page, they have an average of 3 comments, and they also don't reply to them.

What I learned collectively about the businesses that I reviewed is that we have to generate different content for our customers to keep them engaged and entertained. If you are operating solely online, that is your opportunity to create a great first impression on your potential customers. You want to make sure that they stay excited about your brand. That they can find different content about your company so they can learn from you.

Every company should interact with their customers when they comment on your images. They are taking their time to comment on your picture, and they deserve to be acknowledged. It's imperative when you are a small business to do that. You don't know if that is what will keep you from making a sell. They may be on the borderline of purchasing something from your store, but if they feel like another transaction, guess what someone else will treat them the way they need to be addressed.

  1. These seem like really cool websites its sad to see that some of the companies you wrote on did not even have a website. For me, they all had websites and social media outlets with millions of followers. But still, great post, I totally love the insight!
