Planning My Future Strategy - Week 16

Planning Strategy

What I found to be the most effective are Facebook and Instagram. I can promote giveaways on these platforms and this is where my target market hangs out. After giving Twitter a try, I realized that it's not the best place for my business as I am not sure how to use it. I also don't like how you can't explore other accounts other than the famous ones that are suggested for you to follow. I don't think that it would provide what my business needs.
On the other hand, I would love to add a Youtube page, but I just don't have the content to keep people entertained and coming back. For now, I will continue to use Facebook and Instagram.

I launched a blog on my website too. So far I have two other blog posts lined up. The plan is to post one a month. Similar to newsletters because people don't really need to be bombarded with a bunch of information. I think will be a nice touch so customers can see which influencers and photographers we work with. I think our customers can gain insight into our brand that way.

I will be implementing Google Calendar and Google Tasks. I typically use a paper agenda and post-its, but this will help me keep everything in one place. I will use Hootsuite or another platform like it. It will save me so much time!

I should plan a bi-weekly schedule and stick to it. This was the plan at the beginning of this year and I have not stuck to it. I look at the analytics so I know when the best days and times to post for each platform for higher interaction from customers. The plan is to post on Thursday and Friday on Facebook. Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays on Instagram and Blog post once a month on the last week of the month so my customers know when to expect a post from me. This plan will allow my business to grow because customers will know what to expect and know that I will be there when I say.

  1. Hi Cristina,

I agree with the frequency in which to post to blogs and send out newsletters. It' s no fun and it can at times be annoying to be inundated with too much information. Often times, if a sender sends too often, I simply unsubscribe without even reading their content.

You have a solid plan for your posting schedule. I agree monitoring analytics will ensure the best ROI for time spent.

    Best wishes and continued success!

    Cheers,
    Michelle

  2. You are absolutely right. If a company sends out to many newsletters, I will unsubscribe as well. If a company sends out too little, I will forget. but if they send out the right amount, I might look into it.
